President's Message
As President, I’m honored to serve as the 2024-2026 President of the NCNW St. Petersburg Metropolitan Section to lead our members and support our community in continuing the fight for social justice, economic empowerment & entrepreneurship, health & wellness, and education.
Our challenges may sometimes be significant, but with our collective strength and commitment, we can build on the NCNW legacy and expand our impact in the community. By meeting people where they are, we can ensure that voices of Black women are heard and their families have the resources they need for a better life.
I look forward to working together to create lasting change for future generations. Let’s continue to serve with purpose, unity, and determination to be the change we want to see in our communities as we support women of African descent and their families.
Our Section eagerly welcomes new members with innovative ideas and a willingness to work. We are indeed energized and ready to embark on new ventures that will benefit our community. Qualifications for membership are compassion for others and a commitment to serve.

Again we are collaborating with Saturday Shoppes for the "2nd Annual 1,000 Turkey Giveaway!" Our traditional non-perishable meal bags will accompany other partners' and sponsors' donations to provide food for a Thanksgiving Meal.
Items to donate - cases of: green beans, corn, stovetop stuffing, candied yams, cranberry sauce, cake mix, and icing.

Scholarship Applications are now available
The St. Petersburg Metropolitan Section, National Council of Negro Women, Inc. is proud to announce that the organization will award the NCNW Educational Incentive and Ralph W. Young Family Foundation scholarships for the upcoming 2026-2027 academic school year. The application deadline is Friday, December 5, 2025.
We will recognize recipients at the 40th Annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Leadership Awards Breakfast, held at the St. Petersburg Coliseum on Monday, January 19, 2026.
There are two scholarship opportunities available and applicants can only apply for ONE. Carefully review the requirements for each scholarship opportunity. The amount of each scholarship is dependent upon available funds.
